This late maturing variety of sweetcorn will grow to 6-7 feet tall and produce 2-3 good sized (8") cobs per plant. A feature of these new F1 hybrids is that the cobs can remain on the plant for a considerable time and still retain their tenderness and sweetness.
Sow the seeds indoors in seed cells early spring or outdoors in May and early June, one seed per square foot, 1" deep. Transplant the seedlings outside in a block when about 8" tall and all risk of frost has passed in your area. Sweetcorn plants need a rich, well drained soil. Keep watering in hot, dry spells, especially when flowering.
