CLEMATIS INTEGRIFOLIA ROSEA
Bright pink flowers open over an extended period from mid-summer to early autumn on this exceptional, clump-forming, semi-erect or scrambling herbaceous clematis. It flowers on the current year's growth, and if pruning is required, it can be cut back to about 15-20cm (6-8in) above soil level in early spring before new growth appears. In addition it is ideal for a large container. This lovely plant has been given the Royal Horticultural Society's prestigious Award of Garden Merit (AGM) in recognition of its outstanding excellence.
Sow seeds at any time onto a good soil-based compost covering seeds with fine grit or compost to approximately their own depth. We recommend germinating at 15 to 20 degrees C. Germination may be very slow, perhaps 2-3 months, or sometimes much longer, and these seeds may sometimes wait for spring before emerging. Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots before finally planting with climbing support in a well-drained spot or very large pot.
