DAUCUS CAROTA 'PURPLE KISSES'
In stock
Description
A new and elegant umbellifer with finely-divided green foliage, above which open fabulous, doily-like heads in a range of colours from palest pink through shades of purple and crimson, to almost black. These beautiful, and astonishingly-intricate flower-heads deserve a really close-up inspection. Although they can flower in as little as 3 months from sowing, they do better if sown late for larger plants the following year.
Sowing Advice
For best results, seeds are sown directly into the ground where required in the spring. Alternatively, sow in late winter/early spring in gentle warmth, 15-20 degrees C. Prick out into small 3 inch or 7 cm. pots and plant in final position when the plants are established.
