Genus collection
Aconitum Seeds (11 varieties)
ViewAconitum tsaii is a rare high-altitude monkshood from north-western Yunnan, where it grows among scrub and grassy slopes at roughly 3,200–4,100 metres. Its branching stems are naturally twining, carrying three-parted leaves and a loose late-summer inflorescence of green, purple or blue hooded flowers. The combination of a climbing habit and alpine provenance makes it an intriguing subject for a cool, sheltered collection, where it can weave through an open shrub. As with all members of the genus, every part is intensely poisonous and requires careful, gloved handling.
