Allium Atropurpureum

At the top of the wish-lists for allium-lovers, these dazzling flowers are made up of deep pink to purple petals surrounding a blueberry-purple centre, which opens in early to midsummer on upright stems and seem to hover like large, brilliantly coloured jewels above the foliage.
