Allium Cernuum 'Pink Giant'

‘Pink Giant’ is a larger, bolder form of the North American nodding onion, producing arching stems whose tips bend gracefully beneath loose umbels of rosy-pink, bell-shaped flowers. The downward-facing blooms reveal long pale stamens and sway lightly above narrow, grassy foliage, creating movement rather than the rigid geometry of globe alliums. Flowering in summer, it is exceptionally attractive to bees and combines naturally with prairie grasses, sanguisorbas and informal perennials. It forms a slowly increasing clump in sunny, reasonably fertile soil that drains freely.
