Allium Obliquum

This tall, distinguished and attractive species from Xinjiang, Mongolia, Kazakstan and southern Russia has compact spherical umbels of yellow pom-pom flowers on strangely curled and twisted stems in early summer. Indeed, some people cannot believe it is an ornamental onion.
