Allium Seeds (68 varieties)
ViewAllium paradoxum var. normale is the desirable, freely flowering form of few-flowered garlic. In early spring it produces clusters of clean white, star-shaped blooms above narrow, glossy leaves with a mild garlic scent. Unlike the commonly naturalised form, which replaces most flowers with rapidly spreading bulbils, var. normale develops a proper umbel of flowers and is far less invasive. Native to the Caucasus and Iran, it suits moist, humus-rich soil beneath deciduous shrubs, where it can form a fresh green colony before summer shade deepens and the foliage retreats into dormancy.
