Allium Schubertii 'Arctic Snow'

‘Arctic Snow’ transforms the famous firework form of Allium schubertii into a dazzling white starburst. More than fifty pure white flowers are carried on stalks of unequal length, radiating from a tight centre to create an airy head that may reach 30 cm across. Bright green basal leaves fade before the early-summer display, leaving the extraordinary bloom floating above the border. It is superb among low grasses, in gravel planting or as a dramatic cut flower, and the dried seed head retains its sculptural geometry for months. Full sun and sharp drainage keep the bulb sound.
