Anemone fasciculata, now often placed in Anemonastrum, is a mountain perennial with deeply divided foliage and clusters of clear white to pale pink flowers held above the leaves in late spring and early summer. The name fasciculata refers to its bundled or clustered flowering habit, which gives the plant a fuller display than a solitary windflower. Native to upland meadows and rocky slopes from the Caucasus into western and central Asia, it combines alpine delicacy with a sturdy clumping habit. It suits a cool rock garden or border edge where the roots remain moist during growth but never waterlogged.
