Antirrhinum Cherry Cola

'Cherry Cola' is a compact snapdragon with velvety cherry-red flowers held above unusually dark, almost black-purple foliage. The contrast gives this dwarf selection far more drama than its modest height suggests, making it excellent for containers, edging and the front of sunny borders. Sturdy spikes continue from early summer into autumn when faded blooms are removed, and the familiar hinged flowers invite bees strong enough to push through the lips. Its rich colouring combines especially well with silver foliage, pale pinks and ornamental grasses, while the shorter habit stands up well to wind and rain.
