Armeria Alliacea Pink Hybrids

These pink hybrids of Armeria alliacea form evergreen clumps of broad, upright leaves and tall, wiry stems topped by rounded flower heads in shades of rose, shell pink and deeper carmine. The larger leaves and stronger stems give them a more substantial presence than common sea thrift, making them useful at the front of sunny borders as well as in gravel gardens and containers. Native Spanish blood gives the plants excellent tolerance of heat and lean soil. Seedlings will vary pleasantly in colour and stature, creating a natural-looking group that is especially attractive to bees through late spring and summer.
