Arum Seeds (6 varieties)
ViewArum italicum subsp. albispathum is a Caucasian and Crimean form distinguished by an exceptionally pale, almost white spring spathe and a soft yellow spadix. Glossy arrow-shaped foliage emerges in the cooler months and gives valuable winter structure beneath deciduous trees, before the flower appears and the leaves retreat. A dense spike of brilliant orange-red berries follows in summer. More restrained than heavily marbled Italian arum cultivars, it has a clean botanical elegance suited to woodland collections. It thrives in humus-rich, drained shade, but every part is poisonous and must not be eaten.
