Asphodeline Damascena

Asphodeline damascena is an uncommon eastern Mediterranean perennial with narrow blue-green leaves and remarkably tall, slender racemes of white star-shaped flowers. Each bloom is marked by a contrasting central vein, creating a crisp pattern along stems that rise well above the grassy basal clump. The airy vertical display is especially effective in gravel gardens and dry borders, where its restrained palette complements silvery foliage and ornamental grasses. Native to rocky ground around the Levant, it is drought tolerant once established and rewards full sun, low fertility and sharp drainage.
