Bupleurum Aureum

Sprays of quite spectacular, five-petalled golden flowers open on tall thin stems with waxy, grey leaves, on this exceedingly hardy plant. It lives in forest margins and on mountain slopes and river banks in the Tian Shan province of China, and also in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Russia, where it can tolerate temperatures below minus 40 degrees C. Few seeds collected.
