Clematis Integrifolia

This gorgeous, sweetly scented, clump-forming, herbaceous, non-climbing clematis bears very attractive, indigo-blue nodding flowers with recurving tepals. An exceptionally lovely species, it was introduced from southern Europe in 1573 and has always been one of the staple cottage garden plants.
