Cleome Hassleriana 'Sparkler'

Spider flower is a tall, dramatic half-hardy annual from South America, producing an airy succession of white, pink and purple blooms above palmate, aromatic foliage. Long projecting stamens give the flowers their spider-like appearance, while slender seed pods develop among fresh buds so that each head remains constantly changing. The upright stems bring height without heaviness to summer borders and make striking cut flowers. Heat loving and quick growing, Cleome hassleriana thrives in a warm sunny position and continues flowering until the first frost.
