Collinsia Parviflora

Small-flowered blue-eyed Mary is a charming western North American annual with tiers of tiny blue and white, two-lipped flowers arranged around slender stems. Although each bloom is minute, a colony creates a delicate haze above fresh green leaves in spring and early summer. The lower lip often carries the clearest blue, while the pale upper petals make the flower resemble a miniature snapdragon. Naturally found in open woodland, meadows and moist slopes, it is ideal for informal edging, wildflower planting and partially shaded gravel, where it can seed itself gently into small gaps.
