Crocus Seeds (11 varieties)
ViewThomas’s crocus is an elegant autumn species from southern Italy and the Adriatic coastal mountains. Slender lilac flowers open above fine leaves, each bloom carrying a pale yellow throat and three conspicuous red style branches that rise well above the anthers. The narrow petals and clear colouring create a refined star-like effect in October and November, when few other alpine bulbs are in flower. Naturally found on stony slopes and in open scrub, it enjoys a sunny, sharply drained position, winter protection from excessive rain and a warm dry rest through summer.
