Cyclamen Graecum 'Rhodopou'

'Rhodopou' is a particularly handsome selection of Greek cyclamen originating on the Rhodopou Peninsula of western Crete. Its heart-shaped leaves are extensively washed in silver or pewter, usually surrounded by a narrow, sharply contrasting green border. Pink autumn flowers rise above the patterned rosettes, each marked by a deeper basal stain. The foliage often remains the principal attraction throughout winter, giving months of colour after flowering has ended. Compact and highly distinctive, it makes an excellent pot specimen for a cool greenhouse or sheltered alpine house.
