Daphne Mezereum Album ' Bowles Variety'

'Bowles Variety' is a white-flowered form of mezereon, producing intensely fragrant blossoms directly from bare branches in late winter and early spring. The creamy white flowers appear before the leaves and are followed by translucent yellow berries, creating a second ornamental season. Named for the celebrated plantsman E. A. Bowles, this refined selection brings fragrance and light to woodland edges when little else is in bloom. The compact deciduous shrub prefers cool roots and resents transplanting. Every part is poisonous, so it must be positioned and handled with care.
