Delphinium Consolida 'Limelight Dark Blue'

Delphinium consolida ‘Limelight Dark Blue’ produces tall, slender spires densely packed with deep blue flowers, each marked by a lighter central eye that adds contrast and depth. The colour is intense and clear, giving the plant strong visual presence while retaining the light, open habit typical of annual larkspur. Derived from Delphinium consolida, a species native to southern Europe and western Asia, this strain maintains the wild plant’s elegance while refining the flower colour into a darker, more saturated blue. Plants rise quickly from seed, forming finely divided foliage and upright stems that flower progressively from the base upward. As with all seed-raised strains, some variation in shade and intensity is natural. Growth is upright and lightly branched, with flowering strongest in full sun and on well-drained soil. The open structure allows the spires to move freely, giving height and rhythm to early summer planting.
