Dimorphotheca sinuata ‘Orange’ produces a vivid display of daisy-like flowers in strong, sunlit orange tones, opening fully in bright light and closing again as conditions cool. The blooms are held above low, spreading foliage, creating a bold, ground-level wash of colour that intensifies through the summer months.
Native to southern Africa, this species is adapted to open, sunny landscapes and responds quickly to warmth and light. Plants grow rapidly from seed, forming branching stems and a steady succession of flowers. The centres are often marked with darker rings, adding contrast and depth to the otherwise clear orange colouring. As with most seed-raised strains, some natural variation in shade and marking is to be expected.
Growth is compact and spreading, with flowering strongest in full sun on well-drained soil. The plant remains open and floriferous in dry conditions, maintaining colour where heavier annuals may falter.
