Echinops Sphaerocephalus 'Arctic Glow'

'Arctic Glow' is a distinctive globe thistle with sturdy branching stems, dark brownish-green colouring and spherical flower heads that open silvery white rather than blue. The pale globes stand out clearly above deeply divided, spiny foliage from late summer into autumn and are constantly visited by bees and butterflies. Strong stems are excellent for cutting and the heads dry beautifully for winter arrangements. Drought tolerant, hardy and resistant to deer, it brings crisp structure to sunny borders and gravel gardens and combines especially well with grasses, echinaceas and dark foliage.
