Freesia Laxa Azurea

Green leaves are arranged in a flat "fan" from which the flower stalk emerges, the flowers being flattened and about 2 cm wide across. The ground colour is pale blue with the bases of the lowest three tepals having a darker marking. These plants come from South Africa, where they grow in somewhat moist conditions, dying down to a corm in the winter, growing again at the end of spring and flowering in summer. They spread slowly and non-invasively making superb beds when happy.
