Fritillaria Seeds (30 varieties)
ViewFritillaria bithynica is a miniature fritillary from the Aegean islands and western Turkey, where it grows among scrub and stony ground. Short stems carry conical bells coloured yellow-green and grey, almost silver on the outside, while the inner surface has an unexpected polished sheen. The restrained palette and compact scale make it especially appealing when viewed closely in an alpine pot or trough. It emerges during the cool wet season, flowers in early spring and retreats before summer heat, requiring excellent drainage and a distinct dry rest to remain healthy in cultivation.
