Fritillaria Seeds (30 varieties)
ViewFritillaria davisii is a distinctive Greek bulb from the southern Peloponnese, where it grows on hillsides, in scrub, olive groves and cultivated ground. Two broad glossy leaves lie almost flat on the soil, framing a short stem topped by a dark chocolate, waxy bell. The interior is yellow-green, and this lighter colour glows faintly through the petal tips. Its dramatic ground-hugging habit and rich colouring make it exceptional in an alpine pot. The species increases well when given winter moisture, bright light and a completely dry, protected summer rest.
