Fritillaria Persica 'Senkoy'

‘Senkoy’ is a selected Persian lily with tall, elegant racemes of deep plum-purple bells, each appearing lightly dusted with grey. It flowers a little later than typical Fritillaria persica and is admired for the strong shape and rich, uniform colour of its pendent blooms. Glaucous leaves spiral up the upright stem, creating a refined architectural silhouette among pale grasses and silver foliage. Once established in a hot, sunny and sharply drained position, it can form an impressive clump, although seed-raised offspring will show some variation from the parent.
