Fritillaria Thessala

Much taller than its close relative Fritillaria graeca, this one has 12 inch stems bearing up to three large jade green bells chequered with dark purple. Originally from a population found at over 1,500m in the Katara Pass of Northern Greece this is perfect in the garden as it is a high altitude plant well used to summer dampness.
