Gentiana Asclepiadea Mixed Cultivars

This mixture of willow gentian cultivars produces long-lived clumps with graceful arching stems and late-summer trumpets opening from the upper leaf axils. Seedlings may range from deep cobalt and violet-blue to pale blue, pinkish or white, with differences in throat markings and stature. The foliage resembles narrow willow leaves and creates an attractive framework before flowering. Gentiana asclepiadea is among the easiest taller gentians when given cool, humus-rich partial shade and dependable moisture, gradually developing into a generous plant that improves year after year.
