Geranium Sanguineum 'Max Frei'

‘Max Frei’ is a compact form of bloody cranesbill, making a low, spreading mound of deeply divided dark green leaves beneath vivid purple-pink flowers. The saucer-shaped blooms appear through summer and are visited readily by bees, while the foliage often develops red and bronze tones in autumn. Tough, drought tolerant and exceptionally hardy, it is ideal for rock gardens, path edging, gravel borders and ground cover. Seed-raised plants may vary from the cultivar, but should retain the species’ neat habit, strong colour and reliable garden performance.
