Heliophila Coronopifolia

Heliophila coronopifolia is a graceful South African annual with finely divided foliage and branching stems covered in clear blue, four-petalled flowers. The simple blooms have the luminous colour rarely found in annuals and create an airy haze rather than a heavy block, making the plant ideal among silver leaves, grasses and warm-toned companions. Native to seasonally dry Cape country, it grows quickly in cool spring conditions and flowers before intense summer heat. Light, well-drained soil and full sun encourage the finest stems and longest display.
