Hyacinthoides Reverchonii

Hyacinthoides reverchonii is a rare Spanish bluebell confined to the limestone mountains of the Sierra de Cazorla and neighbouring ranges. Narrow leaves surround spring stems carrying graceful, nodding blue-violet bells, each flower held on a short curved stalk and opening with a clean, species-like simplicity. Unlike vigorous hybrid bluebells, it remains a refined plant for woodland edges, shaded rock gardens and specialist bulb collections. Cultivated seed helps preserve interest in this restricted endemic, which thrives in cool humus, spring moisture and a dry summer rest.
