Impatiens Walleriana

Impatiens walleriana is the classic busy Lizzie, a tender East African perennial usually grown as annual bedding for its extraordinary flower power. Soft, succulent stems form rounded plants covered from early summer until frost in blooms of white, pink, salmon, orange, red, mauve or purple. Few plants provide such dependable colour in partial shade, making it invaluable for containers, hanging baskets and shaded border fronts. Regular moisture and shelter keep the foliage fresh, while modern disease-aware cultivation and good air movement help reduce problems with downy mildew.
