Iris Cherry Bell

‘Cherry Bell’ is a historic tall bearded iris registered in 1954, producing strong stems around 90 cm high with rich wine-red flowers in mid to late season. The standards and falls are similarly coloured, creating a saturated self-coloured bloom with the sculptural form and prominent beard typical of classic bearded irises. Its deep tone makes a dramatic companion for silver foliage, pale alliums and ornamental grasses. Seed-raised plants will not be identical to the cultivar, but may yield attractive descendants in cherry, burgundy and related shades.
