Iris Stolonifera Hybrids And Mixed Forms

These Iris stolonifera hybrids and mixed forms should produce a fascinating range of Regelia irises with glaucous leaves and richly patterned spring flowers. Colours may combine milky white, lilac, blue, purple, bronze and brown, with contrasting veins, margins and beards in cream, yellow or blue. The parent species spreads by distinctive red-skinned stolons, forming new rhizomes at their tips. Seedlings will reveal individual combinations unavailable as named clones, making this an excellent selection project for a sunny bulb frame with very sharp drainage.
