Iris Seeds (64 varieties)
ViewShreve’s iris is a central North American form of southern blue flag, producing fans of sword-shaped leaves and branching stems of violet-blue flowers in late spring and early summer. The falls are boldly marked with yellow and white signals traced by deep purple veins, guiding visiting bumblebees towards the nectar. It grows naturally in marshes, wet prairies, stream banks and lake margins, where the rhizomes may remain submerged for long periods. Hardy and dramatic, it is ideal for bog gardens, rain gardens and sunny pond edges with constantly moist soil.
