Lewisia Longipetala Little Raspberry

'Little Raspberry' is a compact lewisia forming neat rosettes of fleshy lance-shaped leaves and short stems of vivid raspberry-pink flowers, each petal finely streaked or edged with white. The jewel-like blooms appear from late spring into early summer and can cover the foliage on well-grown plants. Its small scale makes it ideal for troughs, rock gardens, containers and wall crevices where the flowers can be admired closely. Hardy in sharply drained ground, it dislikes moisture sitting in the crown and benefits from protection against persistent winter rain.
