Lilium Seeds (47 varieties)
ViewThis citrine form of Henry's lily produces strong, arching stems and nodding Turk's-cap flowers in lemon to soft golden yellow, usually relieved by darker spots and greenish nectary furrows. The recurved petals and projecting stamens give every bloom a lively, spider-like outline in late summer. The species was named for Irish plant collector Augustine Henry, who found it in central China, and its vigour, disease tolerance and strong stems transformed modern lily breeding. It is an impressive, long-lived border lily for sun or light shade with cool, deeply drained roots.
