Lunaria Annua Chedglow

'Chedglow' is a richly coloured form of honesty, producing heart-shaped leaves that range from dark green to deep purple on purple-flushed stems. Open clusters of pinkish-purple flowers rise above the foliage in late spring, followed by the flat round pods for which Lunaria is famous. As the outer layers fall away, translucent silvery partitions remain and glow in dried arrangements. Hardy, easy and attractive to pollinators, this biennial is ideal for cottage borders and light woodland, where it can self-seed into natural drifts.
