Malus Robusta

Malus × robusta is a variable, exceptionally hardy crab apple group forming broad-headed trees with abundant white or pink spring blossom. Small rounded fruits mature in red or yellow and may remain on the branches well into winter, feeding birds and extending the display after the leaves fall. The group has contributed several valuable garden cultivars and combines resilience with reliable flowering and fruiting. Seed-raised plants will be individual, differing in size, blossom colour, fruit shape and persistence rather than matching a named selection.
