Moraea Seeds (10 varieties)
ViewMoraea flaccida is a winter-growing Cape bulb with a single arching leaf and loose spring stems carrying yellow or salmon flowers around a brighter yellow centre. The broad, silky tepals give the blooms a simple, luminous quality, although each flower is short lived and is followed by further buds. It grows naturally on seasonally wet sandstone and granite slopes and flats in the western Cape, then retreats into a dry summer dormancy. Formerly known as Homeria flaccida, it is beautiful but poisonous and should be grown responsibly under cool glass.
