Moraea Seeds (10 varieties)
ViewMoraea papilionacea is a variable Cape peacock flower with hairy foliage and elegant late-winter or spring blooms in yellow, salmon or attractive bicoloured forms. Each fugacious flower displays bold yellow nectar guides and a balanced six-petalled outline, opening for only a short period before the next bud takes its place. The species grows in renosterveld and transitional fynbos on sandstone, granite or clay in the south-western Cape. Its constantly changing flowers make a rewarding display in a sunny bulb frame with dry summer dormancy.
