Narcissus Eugeniae

Narcissus hispanicus subsp. eugeniae is a Spanish trumpet daffodil associated with mountain streams, wet meadows and cool woodland clearings. Sturdy stems carry clear yellow flowers with a long trumpet and spreading, slightly twisted tepals, creating the classic wild-daffodil outline. The subspecies has a restricted natural range and is of particular interest in conservation-minded collections. Unlike dry-country narcissi, it appreciates dependable moisture during growth and can be naturalised in cool grass or open woodland where the bulbs remain undisturbed.
