Narcissus Perez Chiscanoi

Narcissus perez-chiscanoi is a rare Spanish wild daffodil associated with the Guadiana basin in Extremadura. Strong stems carry clear yellow trumpet flowers with broad, spreading tepals, resembling a compact wild Lent lily. The plant grows in seasonally wet grassland, stream margins and open ground where traditional land management has helped maintain its habitat. Its restricted populations make it a plant of genuine conservation interest. Cultivated seedlings should be carefully labelled and grown in cool, moisture-retentive soil rather than treated as a dry Mediterranean bulb.
