Narcissus Rupicola

Narcissus rupicola is a miniature rock daffodil from the mountains of central Spain. Fine blue-green leaves surround solitary golden-yellow flowers with broad outer tepals and a shallow, slightly darker cup, all carried on stems short enough for a trough or alpine house. The species grows naturally in granite crevices and high rocky slopes, where snow and winter moisture are followed by summer dryness. Compact, hardy and beautifully proportioned, it gives the character of a full-sized daffodil in miniature and rewards close viewing in a sunny raised bed.
