Paeonia Lactiflora 'Krinkled White'

Introduced by A. M. Brand in Minnesota in 1928, 'Krinkled White' remains one of the finest single white peonies. Strong upright stems carry broad cup-shaped flowers whose pure white petals have an attractively crinkled, almost crepe-like edge around a generous centre of golden stamens. The blooms are lightly scented and especially valuable to pollinating insects because the stamens remain accessible. Awarded for its landscape performance as well as exhibition quality, it combines elegance, vigour and reliability. Seedlings may offer new variations on its classic form.
