In spring, enormous, frilly, exceedingly fragrant, rather daffodil-like flowers open in spring over compact lumps of attractive, flat, blue-grey leaves. Found very rarely in the wild and mainly growing in sand on Mediterranean beaches, these plants will thrive in a sheltered, well-drained, sandy soil in a UK garden, but are better enjoyed in a large pot. One of the world's most spectacular flowers, this gorgeous plant is classed as endangered, and as thus, is protected and must not be picked in the wild. These rarely-offered seeds were collected from cultivated plants.
