Penstemon Pensham 'Amelia Jane'

‘Pensham Amelia Jane’ is a vigorous border penstemon with upright stems carrying purplish-pink bells, each opened by a bright white throat and deeper internal markings. Flowering from midsummer into autumn, it provides valuable late colour and repeated stems for cutting, especially when faded spikes are removed. The selection belongs to the Pensham series and reaches around 90 cm, giving useful height without becoming coarse. Semi-evergreen foliage protects the crown in winter, and pruning is best delayed until fresh basal shoots are growing strongly in spring.
