Pepper Alberto's Locoto

Pepper Alberto's Locoto is a vigorous Capsicum pubescens with distinctive hairy foliage, purple flowers and black seeds, producing thick-walled, juicy red chillies with a fresh, fruity character. At approximately 30,000–50,000 Scoville Heat Units, the rounded fruits deliver assertive heat without reaching superhot levels and are excellent for salsa, stuffing and sauces. Plants enjoy cooler nights better than many chillies and can become large, long-lived specimens if overwintered frost free. (HOT)
